Java gibbon is endemic primates found only on the island of Java. Endemic animal interpreted as animal found in particular areas only and it is not found in other areas. Java gibbons consist of two types, namely Hylobates moloch moloch and Hylobates moloch pongoalsoni. Hylobates moloch moloch located in West Java (Mount Gede Pangrango, Mount Halimun, Ujung Kulon), whereas Hylobates moloch pongoalsoni located in Central Java (Around the Dieng Plateau, Pekalongan, Mount Salak).
Java gibbon’s hair color is brownish to gray, Hylobates moloch moloch has darker color while Hylobates moloch pongoalsoni has lighter color. Hylobates moloch is monogamous primates, monogamous is faithful to their partners. They live in family groups, in a family group consisting of one male, one female and 2-3 small children.
